A very challenging project constructed within close proximity to a roller coaster at Blackpool Pleasure Beach. Speed of erection played a huge part in the project success, delivering a four storey, 123-unit hotel in 10 weeks. A significant challenge was the seafront location and the variable wind speed, considerable logistical planning was required to reflect the changing weather whilst maintaining progress and achieving the overall programme. The use of a mobile tower crane was a good decision to provide flexibility during the build.
